At Young Filmmakers' Lab, each camp has a limited number of places to ensure every participant receives individual attention and has the opportunity to contribute creatively. Once a place has been reserved, we begin planning staffing, resources and materials based on confirmed enrolments.

Payment

• Full payment is required at least 2 weeks before the camp start date to secure your child's place.

• Registrations that remain unpaid after this deadline may be released to families on the waiting list.

Cancellations Before Camp Begins

If you need to cancel your child's registration, please let us know as soon as possible.

• More than 14 days before the camp starts: Full refund.

• 7–14 days before the camp starts: 50% refund.

• Less than 7 days before the camp starts: No refund, unless we are able to fill the place from our waiting list.

Cancellations Once Camp Has Started

No refunds will be issued for participants who choose to leave the camp after it has begun or who do not attend (including no-shows).

As our camps have limited places, staffing, planning and materials are arranged in advance, and a participant's place cannot normally be filled once the camp has started.

If Your Child Is Having Difficulties

Every child adjusts differently to a new group. If your child is feeling uncomfortable or experiencing difficulties during camp, we encourage you to speak with us before deciding to withdraw them.

We will always make reasonable efforts to help participants settle in and enjoy the experience wherever possible.

Exceptional Circumstances

We understand that unexpected situations can arise, such as illness or a family emergency. In these cases, refund requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of Young Filmmakers' Lab.

Camp Activities

Our film camps are collaborative creative experiences. Throughout the week, participants work together on brainstorming, scriptwriting, rehearsals, filming and editing. Activities vary from day to day, and not every stage of filmmaking takes place each day. The weekly schedule is published in advance so families know what to expect.

Cancellation by Young Filmmakers' Lab

If Young Filmmakers' Lab needs to cancel a camp due to unforeseen circumstances, families will receive either a full refund or the option to transfer their booking to another available camp.
