The Young Filmmaker's Lab is a creative space where children step into the exciting world of cinema.
Through fun, hands-on workshops, students bring their ideas to life. They create original stories, write scripts, act, direct, and film. We believe every child has a story to tell. Our goal is to build confidence and creativity, and to encourage collaboration and problem-solving skills.
Our film production workshops — Film Clubs — are offered as extracurricular activities at CAISL (Carlucci American International School of Lisbon) and OIS (Oeiras International School).
Summer Film Lab 2026
A week-long filmmaking camp for kids and teens in the Cascais area.
Summer Lab 2026
The Summer Film Lab is a one-week creative program running from Monday to Friday, 9:00–16:00.
Participants will spend the week developing their own short film, from idea to final production, while learning the basics of storytelling, filming, and teamwork. Participation has a maximum capacity of 15 people.
What to bring:
A packed lunch and snacks
Comfortable clothing suitable for indoor and outdoor activities
We will provide additional snacks and water throughout the day.
Ages:
We accept participants from +8 years old. We have older children who enjoy participating!
Language:
The program is conducted primarily in English, and the final film will be produced in English.
However, we are a multicultural group, and Portuguese is also used when needed to support understanding and collaboration.
